Elva Cha- Dedicated and Multi-lingual MC
Elva has been approached to be Master of Ceremonies of weddings, due to her naturally extroverted nature and her ability to speak fluently in English, Korean and Japanese.
Her outgoing and energetic personality gave rise to an early career of being Master of Ceremonies for a variety of events, not only including weddings, but also trivia nights, debating tournaments, guest speaker events and even policy discussion sessions!
She is an experienced public speaker, following training in speech and drama and leading in debating and public speaking competitions.
Let’s hear from Elva herself:
I am in my final years of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney, NSW. Being Master of Ceremonies may seem like a stretch from Veterinary Science, but I love it! Within a year of study vet, I was elected to the position of Student Representative of the Australian Veterinary Association where my main role was to organise and run events.
As a vet student, you quickly learn that a sense of humour is imperative in this profession, and my approach to events is with dedication and careful planning.
From events I have organised in the past, I know the importance of taking the role seriously, but also having a great time. The first of my friends to be married asked me to be their Master of Ceremonies for which I was honoured. I later learnt they had asked me because I was reliable and could take out any spot-fire! My ability to coordinate in a team environment, critical when compereing at weddings, has been reinforced by my work with the Australian Science Communicators, The Globalist (an International Affairs Student Publication) and The United Nations Society.
As your wedding Master of Ceremonies, I will ensure your wedding runs smoothly, the guests are having a wonderful time and most importantly, that it will be a memorable event for everyone.
